Local Products: Most local produce available regionally is available through Farmart. Special effort is made to only include local product if they are confident of its availability.
How to Order: Phone. Specify local product when ordering. Can fax local product list.
Delivery: Deliver between Wilmington & Princeton Monday through Saturday.
Minimum Order: Negotiable
Billing/payment terms: Net 7 days, credit cards are accepted.

Description:

Farmart purchases product from local farmers at the Produce Market in Philadelphia, and also picks up from small farmers in Lancaster Co.

Preservation of Farmer Identity:

Farmart has long relationships with many local farmers and most product is identified to individual farmer. If buyers are interested in purchasing from specific farmers, Farmart can source product consistently from those farmers.

Local Definition & Product Designation:

Local product is considered to be that from PA, NJ, and DE. Local product is identified in a daily product list which can be faxed. Products on local list are almost certain to be available. In 2008-9, they hope to have local storage crops (potatoes, onions, apples, lettuce, root crops) available through the Fall and Winter.
