The Farmstand has finally hired a General Manager! This is a new position for the ‘Stand, and is part of a restructuring effort to make the expanding Farmstand run more efficiently. No one is leaving, there is just a new person involved in the operation of the ‘Stand.

That said, please welcome our new General Manager: Seth Kalkstein. A Philadelphia native, he has worked with food in some capacity for 12 years. His interest in local food arose first from the fact that these foods have the most (and best) flavor. Over the years, he has become more and more involved in the movement, and has happily observed the public interest in local foods grow. He has done a few workshops for the volunteers of Fair Food on cheese in the past, and previously worked as Manager of the Cheese Department at DiBruno Brothers, so you may have met him before. Stay tuned for a message from Seth in the coming weeks and be sure to say hello when you see him at the ‘Stand.
